Divorce is one of the hardest things a person can walk through — and the legal process should not make it harder. Our office handles every kind of Florida divorce, from fully agreed uncontested filings to high-conflict litigation, with one governing idea: get divorced without a war whenever the other side allows it, and win the war decisively when they don’t.

You will always know what is happening in your case, what comes next, and what it costs. In English o en español.

The approach

How the firm handles this

  1. Understand where you stand

Your first consultation maps your specific situation — home, children, income, timeline — into a clear picture of what Florida law actually says about your case, in plain words.

  2. Choose the right path

Most divorces should never see a courtroom. We pursue settlement and mediation first to protect your money and your peace — and prepare every file as if it will go to trial, so you negotiate from strength.

  3. Close every loose end

Parenting plans, support, property, retirement accounts — nothing is left vague. You leave with orders that are specific, enforceable, and built to last.

Common questions

Asked in almost every consultation

How long does a divorce take in Florida?

An uncontested divorce can be done in as little as a few weeks after filing. Contested cases in Miami-Dade typically run several months to a year depending on the issues. We give you a realistic timeline at your first consultation — and keep you updated at every stage.

Do I have to prove my spouse did something wrong?

No. Florida is a no-fault state — the only ground you need is that the marriage is irretrievably broken. Conduct can still matter for specific issues, and we will tell you honestly when it does.

Will I have to go to court?

Many of our divorces resolve through negotiation or mediation without a contested hearing. If yours does need a judge, you will walk in prepared — you will never be sent anywhere we have not walked you through first.
