How much does a consultation cost?

Your initial consultation is where we map your situation and give you a straight answer about your options, likely outcomes, and cost. Call (305) 422-1451 or book online — Veronica’s team responds within one business day, and we can meet in English or Spanish at our Palmetto Bay, Doral, or Coral Gables office.

How long will my divorce take?

An uncontested Florida divorce can finish within weeks of filing. Contested cases in Miami-Dade usually run several months to a year, depending on how much you and your spouse disagree about children, support, and property. At your first meeting we give you a realistic timeline for your specific case — not a sales pitch.

Will I have to go to court?

Probably less than you fear. Most of our cases resolve through negotiation or mediation — it is faster, cheaper, and easier on children. But we prepare every case as if it will be tried, because negotiating from strength is what produces good settlements. If your case does need a judge, you will walk in fully prepared.

¿Hablan español?

Sí — completamente. Veronica y su equipo atienden a sus clientes en español y en inglés, desde la primera llamada hasta la audiencia final. Su caso es demasiado importante para perderse en la traducción.

What should I bring to my first consultation?

Whatever you have — don’t wait until it’s “organized.” Most useful: any existing court orders or agreements, recent pay stubs or tax returns, a rough list of assets and debts, and a timeline of key events. If you have nothing in hand, come anyway; the conversation is the important part.

How do your fees work?

Family law cases are billed on a retainer with transparent hourly billing — you see exactly where every hour goes, and we discuss strategy with cost in mind at every stage. Flat fees are available for defined matters like uncontested divorces and agreement drafting. You will never be surprised by an invoice.

What is mediation, and is it required?

Mediation is a structured settlement conversation guided by a neutral mediator — and in Miami-Dade family cases it is generally required before a judge will hear your contested issues. It is confidential, it works more often than not, and walking in well-prepared is the difference between a fair deal and a regretted one.

Where are your offices?

We serve Miami-Dade from three locations — Palmetto Bay, Doral, and Coral Gables — with consultations available in person or by video. Our Coral Gables office is located at 1541 Sunset Dr, Coral Gables, FL 33143. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. See the contact page for all addresses, hours, and directions.

Your question deserves more than a FAQ answer.

“I just want to say thank you to Mrs Veronica, Mr Alcides Martinez , Mrs Yasmin n Mr Pablo . For the effort they put in my divorce, a great team that work so diligent for me …”
